I usually dont rant... especially online... but... -_-;

I went for a bike ride downtown today and happened upon a large protest that was going on at the convention center.  Apparently there was a conservative convention there?

Anyways, Im really glad that in Canada we have the right to speak freely and have public protests and everything but i really think people get way too crazy about it.  I totally support the fact that they want to share their opinions but they were being quite nasty!  Although i dont agree with everything that the conservative government is doing, I dont think they deserve to have insults yelled at them.  Im pretty sure they arent "out to get" anyone.  Harper and the people who voted for the conservatives are just doing what they think is best and we have no right to question their motives! I may not be happy that budget cuts have ended some of the projests ive been helping with at work but i cant pretend that my problems are the only problems, you just cant please everyone!  I think the stupidest part was that people were also yelling at the police officers... they really have nothing to do with it, they are just doing their job and part of their job is not bringing their political opinins to work.  Besides, how do they know all those police men didnt vote liberal?  

I always think "dont you have something more important to worry about?" when i see protests like this but i guess its really important to some people.  More power to them.  People need to keep an eye on what the government is doing.

I guess i just dont understand because i think (practically) nothing is worth getting that worked up about.  Its not like were in a country controlled by a dictator... in my opinion we really dont have that much to complain about.
